Today, CatDad is renewing Lucius's cat tree. The carpet was getting worn, and had some open spots. To undo the attached carpet is an hour of taking out staples. There's cleanup. And then, now, CatDad is applying new carpet and staples.
Lulu does not like the sound of this work, so he is hiding.
Having a cat tree in the home is one of the ingredients of success. Having somewhere to claw, at least in theory, reduces other negative behaviour. It allows the cat to exercise, which is a large part of why they claw.
That cat tree is going to look better in its corner.
This has been a 2-3 hour job so far. And I think there's an hour to go. It is tall.
