Strength in Adonai

When the day seems long, and the light seems short, upon whom shall I rely?
I shall rely upon the Lord my God; upon him do I rely.
When the day seems long and the light seems short, upon whom do I rely?
I shall rely upon the Lord of Hosts, for whom I am the center of his eye.
When the day seems long, and the light seems short
You bring creation as my friends
When the day seems long, and the light seems short
You ensure my companions never end.
When the day seems long, and the light seems short, what does the Lord do for me?
He fills my days with plants and trays, and I pour as I surely do.
All around me he sets all his plants to whom I shall talk of love
I shall talk of love the Lord poured on me, when he opened my eyes to him.

Oh Lord my Love, do recall as days seem shorter by lack of light
Remember Lord my little friends who come to my hand for seed
Do not hold back in your response, but bring me what I need
Whatever secret you gave your sons in Israel to make bricks
You bring as seed to feed your creatures, from my hand, and incidentally from yours.

When they eat, my heart coos over them, or caws, or makes like sounds.
Do you caw too, when you see your crows, and they fly to you?

Oh Lord my Love, I do love the river you pour over me.
Keep your river flow upon my house, so I can always live free.
Flush away the evil day, and send the evil home.
Evil can stay far away, because I have the Lord of Hosts.
Upon my tree, let your favor be, and fill it up with fruit.
And I will share your Lion's share with your little creatures all about.
And let fruit fall, beneath the tree to not leave out the hare.
Don't spare the feeding of even one, which you created to be here with me now.
Lord, let your kingdom come upon my ground.
Spread it all around. Grow your crop, whatever mustard you plan, and fill it up with your good.
Lion's share be shared with all your little creatures all about.
Let my generous heart be your Lion's mirror, to the flicker, hare, mouse, and sparrow.

Look with favor on my plants Lord God. We made a vine shelter like your son.
I mimic him, in all his ways, for he is so winsome.
I look to him, and we all will, and all creatures will lift their love.
The crow will caw. The mouse will squeak. The cat will meow.
The dog will bark. The bird flocks will sing.

All glory to the Lamb of God.

As I pour our love as water streams, this is my morning song.

This morning, I was missing my crows. To my empty yard, I cawed. My crows, from wherever they went, came to meet me with morning song.

Yesterday, as I was throwing bread, a small piece landed on a bird's back. The bird landed. And then, he was up. Now, I am more careful, how and where I put my bread pieces. Poor little bird. My little bird love.

My flicker came, and asked for food. He eats, not from the bird seed holder, but from the seed spilled upon the ground, by sparrows. When I filled my seed, I was a messy filler, so that there was lots for my flicker. Each day, the floor gets cleaned. All the birds and creatures do their part. I am amazed at how a mere five minutes created a clean lawn. Where did all the food go?

It is amazing.
