You get a cat and catmom story today.
When I feed my cats, I typically do it on the table. Sometimes, I may do it on the floor. I serve them. I watch them. When they eat, and say I gave them a plate, the wet cat food moves from one side of the plate to the other. I turn the plate, and bring it close. They do it again. I turn the plate, perhaps scoop it together, and they do it a third time.
I was away for a few days. What happened was my cats did what I do, but without me. They moved to opposite sides of the plate to eat, so they could get their food assembled in the right place.
And they did it twice. They know what I am doing. We get each other.
